Research interests
My general research interest is in the application of IBM (Individual Based Modelling), GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and point pattern analysis to gain a better understanding of the ecology of living organisms. I am currently developing an individual based model (IBM) simulating the natural regeneration of oaks in pine dominated forests and the effects of silviculture and climate on this forest regeneration.
Projects
- Since 2021/05: SIMONA-REX – Spatially-explicit simulation models for the natural regeneration of oak in pure pine stands of the Northeast German Lowlands, funded by Waldklimafonds
Scientific vita
- Since 2021/05: Research Fellow at the Chair of Forest Biometrics and Systems Analysis at TU Dresden, Project SIMONA-REX, financed by Waldklimafonds
- 2018 – 2021: M.Sc. in Forestry at TU Dresden
- 2015 – 2018: B.Sc. in Forestry at TU Dresden
