Research interests
My research interests lie in theoretical ecology, community ecology, and individual-based modeling. In the past three years, I have been working on decoupling the environmental and functional niches of species. I explored the direct or indirect effects of environmental n-dimensional hypervolume ecological niche similarity, dissimilarity, functional distance, phylogenetic distance, and competitive intensity on the probability of coexistence among species, and further investigating the causal relationships among various types of mechanisms during species coexistence.
