Developers of the model 4C offer exercise to forestry students

The developers of the model 4C ('FORESEE: FORESt Ecosystems in a changing Environment') Dr. Martin Gutsch and Mats Mahnken (both Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research (PIK)) offered an online exercise for our students as part of the bachelor's module 'Forest Growth and Environment'. The application of the model to study the 'Water balance in beech and pine forests under changing climatic conditions' exemplary illustrated the study of climate change impacts on forests and possible adaptation scenarios.
