IJGI Webinar | The Power of Geo-Social Media
Our institute staff member Eva Hauthal presents her current research on location-based social media at the 3rd webinar of the International Journal of Geo-Information (MDPI).
Social media as an effective crowdsourcing tool has been widely used for addressing geospatial issues, ranging from urban environments to public health. The social media data tagged with geoinformation play a key role in space related applications, tackling their challenges from a perspective of multiple dimensions. The three speakers in this webinar Dr. Martin Knura (HafenCity University Hamburg), Dr. Eva Hauthal (TU Dresden) and Prof. Dr. Ming-Hsiang Tsou (San Diego State University, U.S.A.) will focus on applications and/or state-of-the-art technologies developed based on geospatial social media, showcasing the its power in geoinformation world.
