With funds from the internationalization strategy of the TU Dresden, scientists Ngitheni Nyoka and Tascha Voss were trained in sample preparation of water samples. Since the equipment remains in the laboratories of the University of the Free State at the Centre of Environmental Management, joint projects can now be carried out more easily. The analysis is currently still carried out in Dresden at the Institute of Hydrobiology and the Institute of Water Chemistry, but arrangements are already being made to establish these latest technologies at the UFS, too. With this approach we also want to intensify the exchange of students and post-docs.
