Abstract:
Further flood control is to be established at the Wipper basin of the gauging site Wippra in addition to the existing flood-control reservoir. In general there are two variants to choose from:

variant 1: one flood-control reservoir at the Wippervariant
-
variant 2: one flood-control reservoir both at the Wipper and at the Schmale Wipper
The design flood hydrographs with 50, 100, 200 and 1000 years recurrence intervals are to be determined for each site. Based on these hydrographs the flood volume will be calculated, and finally a decision between the two variants will be made.
