Scientists from the Emerging Field Water Research at TU Dresden (headed by Prof. Andreas Hartmann, Institute of Groundwater Management) and the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research (headed by Prof. Sina Leipold, Department of Environmental Politics) are participating in a new international research project funded by the DFG and US, Canadian and British funding organizations with around 2 million euros. The aim of the project is to develop solutions for water security and climate adaptation by actively involving affected communities in the process. This will be achieved by combining scientific knowledge with social science methods and applied theater.
