Appointment Prof. Thom
Dominik Thom is the new Professor of Silviculture at TU Dresden. He studied at the HNE Eberswald and at the BOKU in Vienna, where he also completed his doctorate (topic: "Disturbance impacts on forest succession, biodiversity, and ecosystem services in a changing world"). This was followed by postdoctoral stays at BOKU, the University of Vermont, USA, and the Technical University of Munich. In Munich, he wrote his habilitation on the dynamics and management of climate-regulating services in forest ecosystems.
Prof. Thom's core research areas are
