New DFG Research Unit "Land-Atmosphere Feedback Initiative (LAFI)"

Matthias Mauder from the Chair of Meteorology and Natalie Orlowski from the Chair of Site Ecology and Plant Nutrition are involved in a new DFG Research Unit that aims to gain a better understanding of the interactions between land and atmosphere. This is of great importance both for the quality of weather forecasts and long-term climate models, as well as for the prediction of extreme weather events. The new joint project FOR Land-Atmosphere-Feedback Initiative (LAFI) is coordinated at the University of Hohenheim.
