Chair participation in 2023 INFORMS Annual Meeting

The Chair of Rail and Public Urban Transport participated in the 2023 INFORMS Annual Meeting, which took place from the 15th to the 18th October in Phoenix, Arizona. Within two Railway Application Section (RAS) sessions, the chair presented three contributions.

In the stream "Network Modeling and Optimization of Railway Systems", Nikola Bešinović presented his work Vulnerability Envelopes for Railway Transport Networks, co-authored by Cristopher Szymula. Also in this stream, Maurice Krauth presented his ongoing research on Single Wagonload routing with his contribution Optimizing the Routing of Wagons During Disruptions in Single Wagonload Transport, co-authored by Daniel Haalboom, Henning Preis und Nikola Bešinović. 

In the RAS Student Paper Competition, Daniel Haalboom received an honorary mention with his contribution Freight Train Scheduling for Industrial Lines with Multiple Railway Undertakings, co-authored by Nikola Bešinović.
