Core algorithms for the evaluation of big data and data ETL pipelines can be created and executed in the Machine Learning Research Workshop at the Chair of Railway Track Engineering. Innovative programs, e.g. for the purposes of image recognition or signal analysis using machine and deep learning, can be created. Potential applications in superstructure engineering lie, for example, in forecasting the remaining service life of superstructure components and systems as well as with regard to predictive maintenance.
