Association for the Scientific Development of ATM in Europe
Prof. Fricke is a member of the ASDA (Association for the Scientific Development of ATM in Europe). Founded in 2007, it is an Association for the scientific development of the Air Traffic Management (ATM) in Europe. It consists of independent research institutes and universities with research and development (R&D) activities in the field of ATM. The objectives of the association are to identify the long-term needs and objectives of ATM in R&D in Europe, as well as to promote European scientific research activities. In addition, the network is dedicated to organization and support of R&D consultations with all ATM stakeholders such as air navigation service providers, airlines, airports, industry, Eurocontrol and the European Commission in order to harmonize the long-term R&D activities and to distribute their results. Furthermore, ASDA represents and promotes the interests of its members in R&D.
