Communication Economics and Transportation

The Chair of Information and Communication Business Management & Economics is part of the Institute of Transport and Economics and focuses on two main areas. On the one hand, teaching and research focus on economic, business and regulatory issues on the telecommunications market with fixed network, mobile radio and broadband. On the other hand, the Chair focuses on the use of innovative information and communication technologies and services, which are increasingly used in the field of transportation. The dynamics of the telecommunications and transport markets and the related
changes, e.g. with regard to customer needs, price and tariff structures, political and economic aspects etc. challenge the ICT industry to constantly react with adaptations regarding new technologies and concepts. In this context, the Chair of Information and Communication Business Management & Economics determines supply and demand structures and observes the complex "Mobility and Communication" economically in the overall system.
