Welcome to team Mr. Ali Abbas Kapadia

We are pleased to welcome Mr. Ali Abbas Kapadia as a new Research Associate at the Chair of Econometrics and Statistics, esp. in the Transport Sector. Ali Abbas recently completed his MSc from the Technical University of Munich, where he specialized in AI-driven optimization methods. He is joining the Reinforcement Learning (RL) Research Group as part of the AGiMo project, a DFG-funded initiative that focuses on developing data-driven and responsible mobility planning solutions for future transportation systems.

Within the AGiMo project, Mr. Kapadia will be responsible for integrating advanced reinforcement learning approaches into transport simulations, with the aim of improving discontinuous choice data modeling. His work will involve linking behavioral modeling with large-scale computational frameworks, contributing both methodological developments and applied research to the group. We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to his contributions to our research and teaching activities.
