Competences in university didactics
The prerequisite and driver for successful university teaching is a profound understanding of didactic mechanisms in the interaction between students and teachers. All teaching staff therefore regularly participates in trainings on university didactics in order to act confidently, competently and with great success in university teaching. Amongst others, competences are present in the following areas of university didactics:
- Motivational teaching and learning
- Scientific misconduct and plagiarism in teaching and research
- Evaluation and reflection of teaching activities
- Employee management at the university
- Planning and designing lectures – easier, more reflected and with higher learning success
- (How) are key competences teachable?
- Didactics of (too) big courses – head-on, presenting teaching methods and their alternatives
- Oral and written exams: planning and executing (20 hrs)
