Information on the Diploma Degree Transport Engineering

9^th and 10^th semester

The diagram shows the structure of the ten-semester program. The first four semesters belong to the basic studies. This includes the modules mathematics, economics and traffic economics, traffic psychology, water traffic and rail traffic systems, traffic safety, rail traffic and public transport in the first semester, mathematics, computer science, physics, statics and strength of materials as well as fundamentals of integrated traffic planning in the second semester, mathematics, kinematics and kinetics, electrical engineering and information technology, air traffic as well as optimization of logistic processes in the third semester and process automation in traffic telematics, a foreign language, traffic system theory as well as traffic machine technology in the fourth semester. In the main study period, there are unspecified modules depending on the choice of one of the following fields of study: railroad systems, electrical traffic systems, traffic planning and traffic engineering, traffic systems engineering and logistics, air traffic, railroad traffic and public transport or traffic telematics. The penultimate semester includes a professional internship and the student research project. In the last semester there is the diploma thesis.
