2nd Saxon Public Transport Symposium
Juni 21 and 22 in Leipzig
The expansion of public transport (PT), including interconnection with other modes of transport is one of the central factors in achieving sustainable mobility. The networking of vehicles with each other, with the operating and infrastructure, the automation of operation and the electrification of the drive system as well as solutions in the sense of multimodal, user-oriented mobility concepts are the focus of all technological objectives in the minds of all vehicle developers, municipalities and transport companies.
The aim of the 2nd Saxon Public Transport Symposium is the continuation of the positive dialog on the mobility of the future from the point of view of vehicle and traffic technology, operational and social aspects within the framework of in-depth
presentations and discussions. The following key issues will be addressed:
- What sensory equipment is required for the different levels of automation? How is approval and acceptance of the vehicle, route and infrastructure carried out?
- How can the timetable reliability and energy efficiency of public transport and, at the same time, the overall traffic quality be improved through optimized control and networking?
- How can an assessment of the electrification feasibility of the line network and an optimal design of vehicles, charging infrastructure and charging management be made?
- How can a continuation of multimodal offers contribute to the achievement of climate protection targets and reclaim public spaces for other types of use?
