Gastvortrag: Towards digital, intelligent and safe airport operations
Abstract: To expedite the growth of the aviation industry, maximising the utilisation of airport infrastructure has emerged as a critical bottleneck. Meanwhile, safety-critical aircraft ground movements events are rare at airports, which prevents airport operators from comprehensive risk assessment. Dr. Wang will first introduce their previous EPSRC project TRANSIT, in which innovative decision support methodologies have been developed for realistic and robust real-time routing and scheduling of aircraft ground movements at airports. Dr. Wang will then introduce their current collaborations with industrial partners towards digital, intelligent, and safe airport operations, focusing on airport airside risk assessment and consequent conflict resolution.
