International Exchange on Disclosure Research Topics at the EIASM 2018 in Munich
During the 14th interdisciplinary conference on intangibles and intellectual capital under the patronage of the EIASM the chair members Deborah Nagel, Michael Graßmann and Stephan Fuhrmann as well as the chair holder Thomas Günther had the opportunity for an exchange of ideas with internationally recognized researchers.
Deborah Nagel held a presentation on the working paper "Risk Disclosure and Credit Default Swap Spreads - An Automated Analysis of Disclosure Quality Characteristics" (Authors: Deborah Nagel, Thomas Günther). Michael Graßmann had the possibility to present the working paper "Drivers of the disclosed connectivity of the capitals: Evidence from integrated reports" (Authors: Michael Graßmann, Stephan Fuhrmann, Thomas Günther). Stephan Fuhrmann presented the working paper "Assurance quality and information asymmetry - The unregulated setting of integrated reporting" (Authors: Michael Graßmann, Stephan Fuhrmann, Thomas Günther).
Thomas Günther organized several sessions on the track "Management control of non-financials".
All participants gained valuable impulses to further develop the presented working papers out of the discussion rounds and from talks with other researchers. Additionally, the conference allowed to expand the professional networks.
Besides the professional exchange the conference was accompanied by excellent culinary care during the breaks, the lunches, and the gala dinner at the Bavarian restaurant "Der Pschorr". We would like to thank the organization comittee as well as the local staff.
