Anthology “Social Responsibility of Companies”
The social responsibility of companies is currently being intensively discussed under the term "Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)". Therefore, the Federal Government submitted a „National Strategy for Social Responsibility for Companies“, in short an “Action Plan CSR”. Among other goals, it aims at increasing the reliability and visibility of CSR.
It is certain that there is more than one way to enhance reliability and visibility. Thus, the authors of the anthology examine which different possibilities and measures companies have in order to credibly take over social responsibility and to make their commitment visible.
The book is based on selected lectures of an identically named conference of the German Academic Association for Business Research (Verband der Hochschullehrer für Betriebswirtschaft (VHB)). The event was jointly hosted by the scientific commissions “Sustainability Management” and “Theory of Science and Ethics in Science” at the University of Berlin.
The contributions provide a good insight into the broad research spectrum of social responsibility of companies within the business management in the German speaking area.
