Chair of Sustainability Management represented at the SBE in Chicago
Participation in the recent annual conference of the Society for Business Ethics (SBE) in Chicago from 8 to 11 August was a great opportunity for the Chair of Business Administration, esp. Sustainability Management and Environmental Accounting at TU Dresden. A research project entitled "Navigating Corporate Biodiversity Management: Financial Institutions Between Purpose, Profits, and Moral Principles," co-developed by Dr. Leyla Azizi, Lisa Junge, and Prof. Dr. Remmer Sassen, was presented.
The conference, with keynote speeches by renowned ethicists such as Prof. Thomas Donaldson and Prof. Patricia Werhane, provided a rich platform for addressing global ethical issues in business. Workshops on integrating ethics into business curricula and global sustainability challenges were among the highlights, providing in-depth insights and fostering meaningful discussions. The event also provided a valuable networking opportunity, with many academics from North and South America in attendance.
Representing TU Dresden at such a prominent event not only enriched the research perspectives of the participants, but also increased the visibility of the university in the international academic community.
