RECOAUD Kick-Off meeting held successfully
From 7th till 9th of April the Chair of Environmental Management and Accounting together with European Project Center organized and successfully conducted the first meeting of the consortium members of the international project Tempus “Environmental management in Russian companies - retraining courses for the sensibilization for and integration of Eco-Audit programs in corporate decision-making (RECOAUD)".
In the meeting took part Professors from Technische Universität Dresden, University of Maribor (Slovenia), Czestochowa University of Technology (Poland), University of Zilina (Slovakia) and four Universities from Russia (Tyumen State University of Oil and Gas, Samara State Transport University, Ural State Transport University and Omsk State Transport University).
The Head of the project Professor Edeltraud Guenther and the Dean of the Faculty of Business and Economics Professor Udo Buscher opened the meeting with the welcome words, presentation of significance of environmental management and noted the importance of the project for Technische Universität Dresden, as well as to educational system worldwide. Dr. Daria Meyr as a project coordinator presented in detail RECOAUD to the consortium, including project objectives, responsibilities, outcomes, activities, LFM.
Within three days of the meeting were discussed details of the project, responsibilities and allocated tasks by the project coordinator Dr. Daria Meyr. Each of the partners presented their University and explained the history of the institutions, structure, research and education. Thereby, the University of Maribor specializes on green logistics and is an expert in the field of e-learning. University of Zilina researches transport sciences, engineering, e-learning technology in education, economics and business, etc.
Russian universities also presented their achievements and directions of development. Among the project consortium there is one branch University that is specializing on the research in the field of oil and gas, other three - on railway transport.
The content discussion started with the EMAS presentation of the environmental coordinator of Technische Universität Dresden – Dr. Ines Herr. Further, Dr. Daria Meyr led the discussion of the analysis of Russian Education on Environmental Management and Ecoaudit. Professor Edeltraud Guenther introduced her book “Ökologieorientiertes Management”, that will be the base for the developed re-training course. The main result of the meeting was the partners’ consolidation in the directions of research and education.
In the future of the project participants there is three years of efficient work on establishment of re-training courses for students and employees of enterprises, their implementation and conducting.
