Urban Water Resources Management UWRM – Work Package Scenarios
Table of contents
The research project Urban Water Resources Management (UWRM) is part of the joint research cooperation between Technische Universitaet Dresden and the Center for Advanced Water Research (CAWR) of the Helmholtz-Centre for Environmental Research (UFZ).
Urban Water Resources Management (UWRM) should be sustainable and be able to be flexibly adapted to different developments. To assess the adaptability and robustness of system extensions and management approaches, scenarios are needed. There are currently no methods available for the development of robust scenarios. Thus, there is an urgent need to build an interdisciplinary network of experts and researchers on scenario development and transfer this into sustainable decision-making.
Within the work package scenarios, the following objectives should be achieved:
- Building of an interdisciplinary network of research on scenario development and transfer in general and especially in water research
- Analysis of available methods for scenario development and transfer
- Assessment and evaluation of available methods concerning their fields of applications
- Assessment of scenarios to be used in UWRM
