Recap - 9th Crowdinvesting Symposium at TUD
On September 19, 2025, the 9th Crowdinvesting Symposium, organized by the Chair of Finance and Financial Technology at TU Dresden, was held at the Impact Hub Dresden. Scholars from economics, business, innovation, information systems, and law came together to discuss the latest trends and developments in crowdfunding and crowdlending.
The symposium program featured a wide range of thought-provoking presentations and discussions on topics such as venture tokenization, equity crowdfunding, regulatory challenges, and the role of generative AI in entrepreneurial finance. The Fire Talks added an international perspective, showcasing research on crowdfunding in Europe, Africa, and North America.
A special highlight was the keynote by Thomas Lambert (Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University) entitled “The Rise (and Fall) of Crowdfunding (Research)”. In addition to the paper sessions, the symposium offered many opportunities for exchange and networking, including a panel discussion with Tino Kreßner (Startnext) and Fränze Schönbrodt (OneCrowd) as well as a festive conference dinner at the Cantina Tapas and Wine Bar.
We look back on a highly successful event and warmly thank all participants for their great contributions!
