"The Mass of Money - Strategies from Art and Science on Capital and Inequality"
Workshop June 4 and 5, 2026 Open Science Lab, SLUB (Zellescher Weg 21-25, 01217 Dresden)
The Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden cordially invites you to the workshop "The Mass of Money - Strategies from Art and Science on Capital and Inequality".
In cooperation with researchers and stakeholders from sociology, economics, mathematics and art, the participatory two-day event combines theoretical analysis, data science and speculative and artistic practice to critically examine the dynamics of capital accumulation and its social consequences. Representing the faculty, Prof. Dr. Alexander Kemnitz (Chair of Economics, specializing in economic policy and economic research) and Prof. Dr. Lars Hornuf (Chair of Business Administration, specializing in finance and financial technology) will contribute to the event.
The workshop takes place as part of Quadrature 'sSchaufler Residency@TU Dresden 2026 and invites you to participate in the exchange between art and science.
The workshop program was conceived by Juliane Götz and Sebastian Neitsch (artist duo Quadrature) together with Nelly Saibel (Schaufler Kolleg@TU Dresden), David Braun (Goethe University Frankfurt am Main) and Felix Reith (University of Bonn). Organization and curatorial support: Pauline Hohn, Gwendolin Kremer and Celina Wagenknecht.
