The inaugural lecture was followed by the presentation of the faculty prizes. Dr. Maria Beranek and Dr. Steffi Misconel were awarded the Dr. Feldbausch Prize for outstanding dissertations. Maria Beranek completed her doctorate at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Industrial Management. Her thesis entitled "Applications of Game Theory in Supply Chain Management" was supervised by Prof. Dr. Udo Buscher. Steffi Misconel 's thesis on "Assessing the Value of Flexibility Options for Least-cost Decarbonization Pathways in Sector-coupled Energy Systems" was written at the Chair of Business Administration, in particular Energy Economics, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dominik Möst.
The Dr. Händel Prize serves to promote international contacts within the Faculty of Business Administration and Economics. This year's winner is Dix Gräubig from the Chair of Business Information Systems, in particular Information Systems in Industry and Commerce. He used the prize money to take part in a Coincidence Analysis (CNA) methodology workshop in Copenhagen from May 19-22, 2025 and was therefore unable to attend the award ceremony himself. He was represented by the founder of the prize, Dr. Händel, who said a few words about the idea and history of the prize.
