Central Student Information and Counselling Service

Things don’t always run smoothly when studying – some students have doubts about their choice of subjects or are experiencing difficulties with the material. Other find it difficult to complete their studies. The Central Student Information and Counselling Service provides you with counselling and information when anything is unclear, you are having doubts or experiencing any other problems at any time during your studies.

Psycho-social Counseling Center

The Psycho-social Counseling Center of Studentenwerk Dresden supports students in dealing with personal crises. Visit the Psycho-social Counseling Center Website

Students' Council

The Students' Council of Business Administration and Economics (FSR WiWi) represents the interests of the faculty's students. Each year, 15 students are elected to the FSR Wiwi, and many more volunteer their time. The FSR Wiwi puts much effort into committee work in examination boards, study commissions and the faculty council. Moreover, it offers many services to students and is at their disposal anytime. Career Service

The Career Service of TU Dresden offers many services (counseling, workshops, e.g.) to support career and professional planning for students already in their early stages. Visit the Career Service Website

Writing Center

The Writing Center of TU Dresden (SZD) is the place to get information and help regarding academic writing and key competences important for your career. The SZD aids students and lecturers by offering help in planning and writing texts, like protocols, term papers or theses, and by teaching academic writing in seminars and lectures and the supervision. Children and Family

Since 2007, TU Dresden is certified as a family-friendly university. Please find a lot of information about family-friendly study and working conditions, childcare and advice on this page: the Family-friendly University TU Dresden Website.

In that vein, the Family Working Room of the Faculty supports its students and employees in case of childcare bottlenecks. It provides a parent workplace in a child-friendly environment, including plenty of playing opportunities and toys.

The family working room is located in Hülße-Bau, Northern wing, 5th floor, room N 515.
