You can study Business Administration and Economics and Business Education and Management Training at the Faculty of Business and Economics. Both degree programs are designed for a duration of 6 semesters, i.e. 3 years, and lead to the academic degree "Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)". Together with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at TU Dresden, the Faculty is also responsible for the interdisciplinary Bachelor's degree program in International Relations, which is based at the Center for International Studies, and contributes a lot of business and economics content here.

Once you have successfully completed your Bachelor's degree, you can go on to study for a Master's degree. The Faculty of Business and Economics offers three Master's degree programs: Business Administration, Public and International Economics and Business Education and Management Training. They build on the content of the Bachelor's degree and lead to a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree. The standard period of study is 4 semesters, i.e. 2 years. Together with the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty continues to be responsible for the interdisciplinary Master's degree program in International Relations, which is based at the Center for International Studies.
The Faculty is also involved in the Master's programs Business Ethics and Responsible Management, Ecosystem Services and International Management at the International University Institute Zittau. Business Administration and Economics play a major role in these interdisciplinary degree programs.
Diploma programs

Our Diplom programs are by no means old-fashioned or expiring. They are fully modularized, offer examinations throughout the course, and award credit points according to the Europe-wide established ECTS system. It is, therefore, easily possible to change from a Bachelor's or Master's program elsewhere to a higher Diplom semester at TU Dresden - we will simply credit the modules you have already completed.
It is not only possible to study for a bachelor's degree, but also for a diploma. The Faculty of Business and Economics offers two diploma degree programs, in Business Information Systems and in Industrial Engineering and Management. They are both designed for 10 semesters, i.e. 5 years, and are divided into a foundation course and a main course.
These diploma courses are single-stage, i.e. they lead directly to the highest possible degree. This has advantages over the two-stage Bachelor's/Master's system that is common at other locations. Find out more directly on the pages of the degree programs!
