At the Faculty of Business and Economics, you can study the entire field of economic topics and issues. Virtually all subfields of the discipline are around: While Economics focuses on macroeconomic relationships, Business Administration deals with problems and decisions at the firm level. Industrial Engineering and Management locates at the intersection between business administration, natural science and technology, and Business Information Systems examines the design of information and communication systems in business and administration. Business Education is concerned with the teaching of economic contexts.
You can study all this at the Faculty of Business and Economics at undergraduate and graduate level. Please feel free to inform yourself about our Bachelor's, Master's, and Diplom degree programs on this page! However, our commitment to teaching extends far beyond our own programs. Many chairs engage actively in further study programs with marked business and economic content. We have added a selection of these to this page as well.

At the Faculty of Business and Economics, you can study Business Administration and Economics or Business Education and Management Training at the Bachelor's level. Both programs are designed to last 6 semesters, that is, 3 years. Including a bachelor thesis to complete, they lead to the academic degree "Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)".
The faculty is also strongly committed to the interdisciplinary Bachelor's program International Relations (B.A.) run by the Center for International Studies.

If you have completed the Bachelor's program, you can start studying at the Master's level. The Faculty of Business and Economics offers three such programs: Business Administration, Public and International Economics and Business Education and Management Training. These programs build on the Bachelor's contents and run over 4 semesters, i.e., 2 years. Upon completion of the program, typically by the master thesis, you are awarded the title of "Master of Science (M.Sc.)".
In addition, members of the Faculty of Business and Economics are closely tied to other Master's programs run by the Center of International Studies and the International Institute Zittau. Business administration and economics are prominent parts of these interdisciplinary programs.
Information on the expiring Master's program Business Information Systems is available here.

Entering university is possible not only in a bachelor's, but also in a diplom program. There are two such programs offered by the Faculty of Business and Economics, leading to the titles of „Diplom-Wirtschaftsinformatiker (Dipl.-Wi.-Inf.)" and „Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur (Dipl.-Wi.-Ing.)", respectively. Both programs are designed for 10 semesters, i.e., 5 years, and divided into the basic and the main study period. The final step is the Diplom Thesis.
Diplom degree programs are single-tiered and lead directly to the highest possible academic degree. This has advantages over the two-tier Bachelor-Master system common at other locations. Please find more information on the websites of the Diplom programs.

Join us on the video campus tour to learn about the site, including the buildings of the faculty, even from a distance.
Part 1: In this video, you will get to know the Auditorium Center with the largest lecture hall of the TU Dresden, the AUDIMAX. It is the venue of many basic courses in Bachelor and Diplom programs.
We also go to the Georg-Schumann-Building, where a large part of the faculty is located. It also hosts numerous smaller lecture halls and seminar rooms. Moreover, the "Alte Mensa" canteen, the sports halls, and the SLUB - the Saxon State Library – Dresden State and University Library are presented.
Part 2: The second campus tour video starts at the Hülße-Bau, next to the Georg Schumann-Bau, the other central building of the Faculty of Business and Economics. Among others, Florian, a student of business engineering, leads the way from here.
