TUD "E-Learning Jewel" Award
Team Helict Receives TUD "E-Learning Jewel" Award
"Congratulations" was the email message from the Central University administration a few days ago, making us jump for joy. We can announce that we won one of the three prizes endowed with 2000€ in the TUD-wide competition "E-Learning Jewel". Our course "Programming and Databases II" was able to prevail over numerous candidates, all of which offered great e-learning formats in the past summer semester.
With the certainty of winning this prize and being able to use the prize money for technical e-learning equipment, we would like to express our thanks to several groups who directly or indirectly contributed to our digital course. We say special thanks to:
- All lecturers at TUD, who work energetically and with dedication on solutions for digital teaching and are thus inspirations as well as motivators.
- All student assistants and tutors who always allow us to incorporate student feedback into our teaching concepts and formats.
- All members of TUD who are contact persons and advisors for any challenges faced by the current teaching situation.
- All students who are academically diligent despite the adverse learning conditions they face.
Together we were able to cope with the problems we faced in the last summer semester and we are confident that we will also cope with the current winter semester in the best possible way. Nevertheless, we look forward unwaveringly to finally being able to conduct fully comprehensive, personal and interactive teaching again sometime next year. The advances in digital teaching that we have learned will certainly not be forgotten then.

Background: In the context of the competition TUD "E-Learning Jewel " students as well as staff members could propose e-learning concepts and contents, which were created in the Corona semester with a lot of passion and commitment by the teachers. Until November 30, 2020, it was up to the members of the TUD (students and employees) to vote on the three most beautiful jewels from their point of view. Many thanks to the initiators and organizers of this award.
