Science meets practice: A Keynote on Patient Empowerment

Patient empowerment: The path to self-determination and personal responsibility in health care - under this title, our colleague Emily Hickmann had the honour of giving the keynote speech at the 42nd annual conference of the 42. Jahrestagung der Transdisziplinären Onkologischen Versorgung (ATO) Baden-Württemberg on 20.10.2023 in Stuttgart. In front of the large professional audience, she was able to illuminate and communicate the topic from the perspective of her research results - a great form of science communication and of disseminating project results from the CraNE project to oncological professionals and self-help groups, we think. It is a pleasure to see how the topic of patient empowerment is gaining more and more importance and arriving in the practice of health care.
