CRC Transregio 96
Topic
Subproject C05: "Model-based method for evaluating of solution variants in planning and realisation, in particular considering the thermo-energetic, qualitative and economical aspects"
Research problem and motivation
Compensation and correction procedures are developed in the project CRC TR 96, that have to solve the conflict between the precision, the efficiency and the energy use in the chipping production. The economic und technical assessment of these procedures is still widely unexplored, wherefore the comparisons between procedures have been drawn unsystematically and subject dependent until now.
Approaches and main Research topics
- Integrated domain-specific modelling of individual procedures in terms of their external impact (goals, cost, effects etc.)
- Survey and modelling of proccess application
- Definition of technical and economical key figures for procedures
Results
- Integrated evaluation metric (key figures with calculation rules and survey methodologies)
- Extension of the BPMN in order to model the aspects of the domain (especially resources)
- Extension of the UML in order to model the procedures
- Diverse ontologies and reference models of the domain
Project partners
- Six institutes or chairs of the TU Dresden, for example Institute for Machine Tools and Control Engineering (IWM)
- Four chairs of the TU Chemnitz
- Three chairs of the RWTH Aachen
- Fraunhofer Institute for Production Technology (IPT)
- Fraunhofer Institute for Machine Tools and Forming Technology (IWU)
