Bachelor & Master Courses
BIOTEC is part of the teaching unit CMCB of TU Dresden. Three international Master's programs (M.Sc.) are offered "Molecular Bioengineering", "Physics of Life (formerly Nanobiophysics)" and "Regenerative Biology and Medicine", whose research-related teaching is based on the specific expertise of the individual institutes. In addition, the master's program "Computational Modeling and Simulation" is offered in cooperation with the Faculty of Computer Science and the Department of Natural Sciences. As a special option, the Erasmus Mundus course Nanoscience and Nanotechnology is offered as part of the Master's program Nanobiophyics.
The four CMCB Master's programs can be seen as continuation basis of previously acquired Bachelor's degrees and, like the institute itself, have a strong interdisciplinary orientation. Teaching is conducted in English and is designed to be practice-oriented. Therefore students at BIOTEC have access to a fully equipped teaching laboratory for the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry practical courses as well as a PC pool. Through the CMCB Technology Platform, students have the opportunity to get to know and use state-of-the-art technologies already during this early step in their career.

The CMCB aims to intensify the connection to other schools and faculties, especially in the area of teaching. Hence, the CMCB members participate in the Bachelor's and Master's courses of other schools at the TU Dresden, e.g. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Computer Science und Computational Logic.
