Ultrasound Cell Disruptor
Company: Diagenode
Model: Bioruptor
Volume: 1.5/2 mL and 15 mL tubes
location: room 134 (coldroom)
Cell disruption and DNA shearing with ultrasound in a water bath; application: e.g. chromartin immunoprecipitation (ChIP)
Sonifier
Company: Branson
Model: W-450-D
location: room 134 (coldroom)
cell lysis with ultrasound, 3 different tip sizes, with soundinsulation cabinet
Evaporator
Company: GeneVac
Model: EZ-2 Plus
Parallel evaporation of pure and mixed solvents under vacuum and during centrifugation, adaptors for 2 mL and 20 mL glass tubes; different programs for varying solvent groups; automatic stop when dry
Pulse Field Electrophoresis
Company: BioRad
Model: CHEF Mapper® XA
It is used to resolve chromosomal sized DNAs. Alternating the electrical field between spatially distinct pairs of electrodes causes magabase size DNAs to re-orient and move at different speeds through the pores in an agarose gel. DNAs ranging from from 100 bases to over 10 megabases may be effectively resolved.
DNA shearing
Company: DigiLab Genomic Solutions, Model: HydroShear
The DNA is physically sheared by pressing the solution through a valve. The fragment size can be adjusted.
UV Radiation
Company: Stratagene
Model: UV Statalinker 2400
application: DNA crosslinking on nylon membranes, UV mutagenesis in microorganisms
Electroporator
Company: BTX Harvard Apparatus
Model: ECM 360 with modul HT200 for high-throughput electroporation (25 or 96 wells)
Plattform equipment in our resonsibility
PCR
Company: Eppendorf
Model: Mastercycler epGradient S, five machines
location: room 123
RT-qPCR
Company: Stratagene
Models: 1 x Mx3000P, 2 x Mx3005P
location: room 123
