Our main aims are to promote career development and foster communication and networking between the Postdocs from different institutes (among the Dresden Johannstadt Campus). CMCB Postdoc website

In collaboration with the Graduate Academy, there are many workshops in English-language on various aspects of career development carried out in the CRTD.

Workshops address both academic qualification goals as well as general aims preparing junior researchers for careers both within and outside of academia- available to all employees and fellowship holders (students, Ph.D. students, Postdocs, Junior research group leaders).

In-house workshops/seminars to complement offers by central TUD services

Workshops address both academic qualification goals as well as general aims such as leadership, project management, tech-transfer knowledge etc. preparing junior researchers for careers both within and outside of academia:

• Advice on job applications, the job market etc.
• Special courses and coaching for women in science (see gender equality concept)
• Alumni-network
• Person of trust
• Vision type of talks by the seniors.
• Chalk talks or interview training.
• Postdoc seminars. Something that has slots only for postdoc presentation. They could be fortnightly and would require participation of a certain proportion of seniors.
• The opportunity to invite and host speaker at the CRTD.

Aims

Our aims are to promote career development, in and outside of academia, by organising chalk talks, professional trainings and further education courses.

We also want to foster communication and networking by organising social events, mailing lists, workgroups and retreats.

Eventually, we want to give Postdocs a voice.
