Close the Gap - CtG-MigHa

The InnoVET PLUS project CtG-MigHa aims to enable the target group of migrants to gain a better and more appropriate foothold in the labor market (in this case the retail sector) according to their skills and abilities and thus significantly shorten the gap between completing language or integration courses and entering the labor market in the retail industry.

The envisaged project results are using the ESCO taxonomy to document educational histories and annotate educational offers. This data will be recorded by an artificial intelligence (AI) recommendation system to provide the target group with individual and appropriate recommendations for follow-up education or advisory services after language or orientation courses.

Funding

The CtG-MigHa project is funded as an InnoVET PLUS project by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research .

With the InnoVET program, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research(BMBF) supports nationwide projects to increase the attractiveness, quality, and equivalence of vocational education and training. The program is implemented by the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).

Target group

The project is aimed at different target groups:

Migrants and refugees up to the age of 55 who are entitled to benefits and who see their career prospects in the retail sector.
Educational staff at educational institutions in the retail sector who work with migrants and refugees.
To personnel development managers from retail companies, entrepreneurs, full-time and part-time trainers, integration coaches and career counselors.
