Entry-level solutions for teacher training in media skills development in Saxony with a focus on the fields of social pedagogy, health and care, and physiotherapy
The ELMeKS.digital project aims to increase the media skills of teachers at vocational schools in Saxony in social pedagogy, health and care, and physiotherapy. Implementing a web portal provides individualized introductory and support services to enable teachers to integrate digital media into their lessons. The project pursues an evidence-based approach by addressing existing needs and challenges in teaching practice and providing teachers with targeted training references and a special learning module. By strengthening media skills, the project improves the quality of teaching at private vocational schools in Saxony and promotes their competitiveness in recruiting highly qualified teachers.
Funding
- Development of a needs-based web portal for teachers at Saxony's independent vocational schools, which gradually introduces the use of digital media in the classroom
- Sensitisation and qualification of teachers for the use of digital media through low-threshold entry scenarios and application examples
