2nd ERDF call for proposals for research infrastructure and research projects published
As part of the ERDF/JTF funding guideline Research InfraProNet 2021-2027, the second call for funding for equipment investments and application-oriented research projects from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) was published on 18.07.2024.
ERDF funding serves to consolidate the special position of Saxony as a research location, to promote interdisciplinary orientation and networking, to strengthen application-oriented research at publicly funded scientific institutions and to contribute to the implementation of the regional innovation strategy of the Free State of Saxony.
The funding is intended to contribute to tapping further research and development (R&D) potential in the field of public research or to better exploit this potential and to gain and consolidate technological and knowledge advantages in order to improve the basic conditions for successful innovation transfer to the economy, to act as a source of impetus and ideas and, as a result, to increase actual technology transfer services.
The TU Dresden, among others, is eligible to apply. Collaborative projects with other eligible applicants whose task is research and transfer and which pursue neither an aid-relevant nor an economic purpose are possible.
The duration of the projects can be up to 36 months and can probably begin in the first quarter of 2025. The funding rate is up to 100 percent.
All relevant information, contact persons, (TU-internal) procedures, deadlines and documents can be found on our program page. We ask you to take the published information into account when preparing your project proposals.
It is possible to resubmit project proposals that were rejected in the first call for proposals. However, please bear in mind that only 4% of the project ideas submitted by TU Dresden were ultimately funded. In the event that the funding call is oversubscribed again, SWMK reserves the right to limit the number of applications to be evaluated, taking into account strategic research objectives and the appropriate implementation of the Structural Funds program - as in the first funding call.
