The Clean Energy Transition (CET) partnership aims to accelerate the transition to clean energy in order to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2050. It is a transnational and strategic partnership to align research, development and innovation (RDI) strategies, leverage knowledge and experience and promote systemic change. Around 50 national/regional funding organizations from more than 30 countries in Europe and beyond participate in the CET partnership and are co-funded by the European Union (EU) through the RDI Framework Programme Horizon Europe (HE).

Call Modules:

• Participants from Saxon institutions (universities and research institutions) are funded by the SMWK via the EuProNet guideline, Saxon companies via the ERDF/JTF Technology Funding 2021 to 2027 guideline.
• Saxony funds all call modules.
• For universities, 100% of the project costs are funded (without a lump sum).
• The SMWK emphasizes the high funding rate of excellent Saxon research applications.

Timetable and funding conditions:

• 21.11.2024 - pre-proposal submission
• 31.03.2025 - proposal submission
• Funding is available for collaborative projects with at least 3 partners from 3 participating countries
• At least 2 partners must come from the EU or Horizon Europe associated countries
