ERDF/JTF InfraProNet 2021-2027: 2nd Call for proposals for research networks in public scientific institutions published
As part of the ERDF/JTF funding guideline Research InfraProNet 2021-2027, the second call for funding for equipment investments and application-oriented research projects from the Just Transition Fund (J TF) was published on 28.06.2024.
The current funding period (2021-2027) of the Just Transition Fund (JTF) aims to enable regions and people to cope with the social, employment, economic and environmental impacts of the transition to the European Union's 2030 energy and climate policy targets and to a climate-neutral economy of the Union by 2050 based on the Paris Agreement.
JTF funds are to be used exclusively for equipment investments and application-oriented research projects in the district of Bautzen and the district of Görlitz (Lusatian mining district) and the independent city of Chemnitz.
Eligible applicants are universities and research centers, non-profit research institutions with the status of an institute, state academies of the Berufsakademie Sachsen in accordance with the Saxon Higher Education Act as well as non-university research institutions institutionally funded by the Federal and/or State governments with a research facility in the Free State of Saxony and university alliances whose task is research and transfer and which pursue neither an aid-relevant nor an economic purpose.
The duration of the projects must end by 30.06.2027 at the latest and can begin from 01.01.2025 at the earliest. The funding rate is up to 100 percent. In the districts of Bautzen and Görlitz, projects amounting to 15 million euros are being funded for equipment investments and research projects. For the district-free city of Chemnitz, projects amounting to approx. 12 million euros will be funded for equipment investments and research projects. Research projects should not exceed 1.2 million euros per project, infrastructure investments should not exceed 1.6 million euros per project.
