QuantERA with new 2025 Call!
On 4 September 2025, the QuantERA Call 2025 officially opened – a new transnational call for proposals in Quantum Technologies. QuantERA is a well-established network, uniting more than 40 research funding organisations across over 30 countries. Its mission is to propel cross-border excellence in quantum research through coordinated European funding in line with the quantum strategy.
Call 2025 at a Glance:
- Funding: Approximately €53 million, co-financed by QuantERA partners with support from the European Commission QuantERAResearch Ireland.
- Topics:
- Quantum Phenomena and Resources (QPR): Foundational research including novel quantum phenomena, protocols, and resources
- Applied Quantum Science (AQS): Technological applications building on established quantum effects and translating these into new products
- Focus Areas: Quantum communication, computing, simulation, sensing & metrology, and general quantum science
Timeline and eligibility criteria:
- 08.09.2025 - Info-webinar
- 05.12.2025 – full-proposal submission
- Topic 1 DFG-funding, topic 2 BMBF-funding
- consortium: typically 3-6 partners (minimum of 3 partners from 3 participating countries)
- between 24 and 36 months project duration
- 20 % - 22 % overhead
