Funding programme “Digital Media in Vocational Training”: 2nd Call for proposals published
The second ESF co-financed Call for Proposals within the Federal Ministry of Education and Research's funding programme “Digital Media in Vocational Training” is published.
The project outlines have to be submitted until April 15, 2016 after consultation with the European Project Center.

The aim of this funding programme is to initiate structural changes in vocational training by using digital media in pilot projects and to contribute to effective quality assurance / improvement.
The overall funding objectives of the programme are as follows:
- Development and dissemination of digital educational technologies and creation of state-of-the-art vocational education and training courses,
- Empowerment of actors (multipliers) of vocational trainings
- Development and provision of information infrastructure for vocational training
- Establishment of a new media-based learning culture.
Eligible for applications are social partners, educational institutions, inter-company vocational training centres and vocational schools as well as chambers and professional associations, research institutes/universities and in Germany based companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The funding is focused particularly on collaborative projects with independent partners from science and industry with the aim of carrying out mutually agreed research (testing) and development tasks.
Interested applicants must have done preliminary research and development work connected with the current subject and/or must have gained experience in the field of media education, media didactics and/or vocational training. Experiences with organizational developments are beneficial.
The funding can cover up to 100 percent of the project-related eligible expenses (ESF and federal funding). Regardless of its legal status, each applicant is expected to provide a substantial own contribution.
For research projects at universities an additional 20% flat rate on the eligible costs of actions will be granted.
Projects cannot be scheduled to last more than 36 months.
