First Clean Energy Transition (CET) partnership joint call 2022 is launched!
The CETPartnership Joint Call 2022 is the first annual call under the CETPartnership and is co-funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe Partnership scheme.
The CETPartnership Joint Call 2022 is participated by 45 national/regional Funding Agencies from 27 EU Member States and Associated Countries to Horizon Europe for a total budget of over 140 million Euros. The CETPartnership Joint Call 2022 is a two-stage call structured in eleven Call modules addressing specific topics, challenges or technologies.
The CETPartnership has seven Transition Initiatives (TRIs) focusing on RDI Challenges that address various technologies and system aspects connected to the clean energy transition, as well as several cross-cutting dimensions:
- TRI1: Optimised integrated European net-zero emissions energy system
- TRI2: Enhanced zero emission power technologies
- TRI3: Enabling climate neutrality with storage technologies, hydrogen and renewable fuels, and CCU/CCS
- TRI4: Efficient zero emission Heating and Cooling Solutions
- TRI5: Integrated regional energy systems
- TRI6: Integrated industrial energy systems
- TRI7: Integration in the built environment
Where TRI 1, 5, 6, 7 addresses systemic aspects and TRI 2, 3, 4 addresses technological aspects to the Clean Energy Transition , as well as several cross-cutting dimensions.
Timeline and eligibility criteria:
- 23th of November 2022 – pre-proposal submission
- 20th of March 2023 – proposal submission
- Funding for joint projects with min three partner from three participating countries
- at least two partners must be EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries

Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Türkiye, United Kingdom; and 3 international partners from: Canada (Alberta), Switzerland and the United States of America
