Within the directive “Research InfraPro” (dated 09 February 2015), the Saxon State Ministry of Higher Education, Research and the Arts (SMWK) supports applied research and development projects at universities and other research institutions of the Free State of Saxony.

Due to limited budget in this funding directive, it is recommended to consult the EPC concerning planned submissions.

About the directive “"Research InfraPro”'
The main purpose of this directive is to strengthen applied research at universities and other research institutions of the Free State of Saxony. The funding will contribute to further develop research and development potential in the field of public research, or to make better use of it, in order to improve the basic conditions for a successful transfer of innovation to the economy and, as a result of that, to increase the actual technology and knowledge transfer.

Funding areas:

• Major investments for equipment to improve the research infrastructure1
• Applied research and development projects
• Pre-competitive research projects (incubation projects)
