More Years Better Lives 2024er Call!
This call " Labour force shortages within the long-term care sector " aims to discuss how new forms of technological development and digitalization have the potential to be transformative and mitigate labour shortages, also taking into account that solutions often start from the perspective of the technology rather than the user. Of interest is the comparison between countries and learning from different innovative strategies and solutions for attracting and retaining employees.
To address these issues, three interrelated aspects of workforce shortages in long-term care are addressed in the context of demographic change, aging and elder care. These three topics are:
- The labor situation
- The role of AI
- Cross-national differences and similarities within different welfare systems
Proposals must address all three research themes, paying particular attention to cross-cutting issues such as gender, ethnicity and social inclusion.
Participating countries:
Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom
Timetable and funding conditions:
- May 14, 2024 - full application
