The EU Joint Programme – Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) launches a new multinational call for proposals for “Understanding the mechanisms of non-pharmacological interventions”.

The aim of the call is to establish a number of ambitious, innovative, multi-disciplinary and multi-national collaborative research projects that aim at understanding the biomedical, psychological and/or social mechanisms of non-pharmaceutical interventions in order to identify potential target sites for enhanced personalized interventions or a combination of pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions.
Proposals must focus on one or several of the following neurodegenerative diseases:

• Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias
• Parkinson’s disease and PD‐related disorders
• Prion diseases
• Motor neuron diseases
• Huntington’s disease
• Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA)
• Spinal muscular atrophy (SMA)

Hard Facts:

• Joint projects with a minimum of three and maximum of six – seven eligible partners from at least three eligible countries
• Max. EUR 300,000 funding per German applicant, 20 % Overhead
• 01.03.2022 - Deadline for pre-proposal
• 28.06.2022 - Deadline for full-proposal
