SPIDER – FAST TRACK TO YOUR SUCCESSFUL PROJECT PROPOSAL: REGISTRATION OPEN
Scientists of TU Dresden realise that the importance of interdisciplinary and transnational research is increasing more and more. To successfully secure European funding it is crucial to have a strategic network.
To address this requirement, the European Project Center (EPC) of TU Dresden has submitted the project proposal “SPIDER” (Strategic Partnership for Innovation and Development in EU Research Promotion) within the initiative budget “Transfer” of the Saxon State Ministry of Science and Arts. SPIDER was approved and is funded with a lump sum of 55,000 euros.
The aim of the project is to strengthen TU Dresden as a centre of science and research in Dresden and to further increase its competitiveness in the European research landscape.
The existing strategic partner universities of the school Humanities and Social Sciences and the school of Civil and Environmental Engineering – in Wroclaw (Poland), Delft (the Netherlands), Prague (Czech Republic), Riga (Latvia), Trento (Italy) – should be used for real collaborations in the frame of collaborative European projects.
The preparations for the event are in its final stages: From 01 – 04 November 2016 European scientists will come to Dresden to gather and develop new project ideas together with TUD scientists and thus enable new topics as well as joint activities. Climate change, migration, inclusion, future city and societal challenges in Europe will be the main topics during the project sessions.
"SPIDER - That sounds promising, networking, inviting and makes curious.” says Mrs. Ines Schmidt from the European Project Center (EPC). "The programme consists of different consecutive workshops, which will lead the scientists from their initial own project idea to a concrete project proposal e.g. for Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, Central Europe or INTERREG. The team of the Laboratory of Knowledge Architecture (Prof. Jörg Noennig) will accompany the workshops methodologically. Furthermore the funding experts of the EPC will assist in every stage of the proposal development process.” says the responsible project manager Ines Schmidt about the exciting and comprehensive programme.
The registration for SPIDER is open until 14 October 2016. Registration link: https://tu-dresden.de/forschung/services-fuer-forschende/european-project-center/epc-projekte/reg-spider
