TCA "Harmony for Europe: civic engagement and EU values through Erasmus+ - from common values to concrete actions in a living democracy" from 08. to 11.09.2026 in Leuven, Belgium

The Flemish National Agency (BE02) is organizing a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) on "Harmony for Europe: civic engagement and EU values through Erasmus+ - from common values to concrete actions in a living democracy" from 8 to 11 September 2026 in Leuven. The NA DAAD has places available for participants. You are welcome to apply for this event.

Target group

This TCA is open to representatives of all education and training sectors: school education, vocational training, adult education and higher education - preferably newcomers to Erasmus+ and potential applicants who have a strong interest in democratic participation, civic engagement and EU values.

Reason for the event

Europe is undergoing a period of rapid change in which democratic participation, shared values and preparedness are more important than ever. The Flemish National Agency (NA) for Erasmus+ is bringing together professionals and newcomers to Erasmus+ for an inspiring transnational contact seminar focusing on European values and democratic engagement.

Aims of the event

• Increased knowledge and understanding: Participants will gain a deeper understanding of civic engagement and the EU's core values.
• Improve practical skills: Participants will acquire practical methods and tools to promote civic engagement in their educational context.
• In-depth reflection on teaching practices: Participants engage in structured reflection and identify opportunities to strengthen democratic participation in their own practices.
• Development of initial project ideas: Participants develop initial concepts for their own Erasmus+ projects focusing on democratic participation and European values.
• Increased cooperation and networking: Participants will establish new international contacts and identify potential partners for future Erasmus+ initiatives.

The NA DAAD must first make a selection from the applications received.

Important information:

• The event will take place in presence and in English.
• Participation is only possible for the entire duration of the event
• The NA DAAD will cover the accommodation costs as well as the travel expenses and daily allowances for the selected participants in accordance with the current provisions of the BRKG (Federal Travel Expenses Act). Meals and accommodation (3 nights) will be provided by the Flemish NA.
• All participants are responsible for booking their own travel arrangements.
