Event "Encouraging Active Citizenship and Commitment through Students' Promotion of European values" of the NA DAAD - Opportunity to apply
From 27 - 29 November 2025, the NA DAAD is organizing a Training and Cooperation Activity (TCA) on the topic "Encouraging Active Citizenship and Commitment through Students' Promotion of European values" (see event page) in Hamburg.
Target group
Reason for the event
Promoting European values and strengthening active participation are more important than ever. The Erasmus+ National Agency Higher Education Germany (DE01) is organizing a three-day transnational conference within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme with a focus on the horizontal priority of participation. The conference is explicitly aimed at the higher education sector as well as student initiatives and/or ambassador programs.
This thematic conference provides a networking platform for the exchange of good practices and transferable experiences from the different initiatives. In various workshop sessions, participants will have the opportunity to discuss and exchange ideas. Between the workshops, the program will be enriched by presentations from experts in various fields (e.g. communication).
Participants will be selected to ensure a balance between representatives of student initiatives and staff from institutions and/or national agencies, taking into account that the organization of such initiatives varies across European countries.
Aims of this TCA
The main objective is to strengthen (student) programs and initiatives as well as ambassador programs that promote European values such as intercultural understanding and exchange, diversity and civic engagement. The conference program will provide an opportunity for participants to network, share experiences and learn more about best practices and challenges of other initiatives. Another focus will be on how the efforts and synergies of the various programs can be combined and how the visibility and impact of such programs can be strengthened.
