Creative Commons Lizenzen zur Publikation von Forschungsdaten – Ein Überblicksvortrag (in German)
Registration see below
Research data is the basis of research results and it is increasingly becoming part of good scientific practice to make this important information available to other researchers and the public (data publication). In addition, many German research funding institutions and European funding programs now require mandatory information on the further use or exploitation of the data after completion of the project. On the one hand, this serves the subsequent use by others, but also the traceability of the published research results. Defining the legal conditions for the publication of research data is necessary to enable clearly specified subsequent use.
Creative Commons licenses offer such a regulated framework and are now widely used not only for image and text publications but also for the publication of research data. This presentation will cover the basics of these free licenses, their use in the context of copyright law and their various areas of application. You will also learn how to determine the reuse options for your published materials and what you need to consider.
